Hey Monika isn't an exam prep tool, and we'd never pretend otherwise. What we are is something that exam prep can't give you: the experience of actually doing the job.
But that doesn't mean we built this in a vacuum. Every challenge and scenario on Hey Monika has been created to touch on topics you've studied in the leading UK accounting and bookkeeping qualifications — AAT, ICB, IAB, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS, and ATT. We can't replicate what your exams test, but we can attempt to bridge the gap between text books and the skills a workplace accountant or bookkeeper needs. The syllabuses tell us what matters but so does feedback from our users.
Our goal is to close the gap between knowing something in theory and being able to use it under pressure, with a real client, in a real system, on a real deadline. We have identified 280 skills that we want our challenges and scenarios to bring to life, from bookkeeping foundations and VAT through to ethics, data protection, and professional communication. We're adding more coverage with every new challenge and scenario we release.
